
Street Ties Records (STR) also known simply as Street Ties Ent. is a rising underground gangster rap label in the city of Los Angeles founded in the city of Compton. It was founded by individuals who wish to remain anonymous with rumors' on the street that the label's foundation is rooted in drug money. The label was founded as a way for local youth in the area to have an escape and vent their frustrations on wax telling stories of the street life based on their point of view. Artist on the label lyrics typically consist of violent lyrics depicting the gang life in Compton. Themes of gang-banging, murder, robbing, etc. are a common topic painting the reality of being in the streets, not being a "studio gangsta".
The Murder of Big Donut:

The label took the streets by storm with rising talent such as Turtle Loc, Big Donut, C-Wacc, etc. However, the label took a major hit when one of it's star artist Big Donut was slain in the Baldwin Village area of West Los Angeles. This made the label's notoriety sky rocket as all eyes were on the label and it's artist like never before. Record sales begin to pick up and soon, conspiracy theorist would began murmuring theories that Big Donut was possibly setup and murdered by either the staff of Street Ties Records to help promote record sales as the saying goes "You're worth more dead then alive."; While others simply think that Big Donut's gang ties to the Kelly Park Compton Crips are what cost him his life being that he was murdered in a predominantly Blood community. However, his murder in shrouded in mystery with fans all over Los Angeles paying homage & respect to him as an underground West Coast version of Notorious B.I.G aka Biggie Smalls. His project "Compton Ain't Safe" continues to be a fan favorite circulating on the streets being sold out the trunks of Street Ties Records marketing team locally in the streets of Los Angeles.
