If you've got more EXP than the required for the next level, after doing /levelup you lose all the extra hours.

Here Is a photo of me having 14/10 experience on level 2, and after doing /levelup(which required 10) - 4 exp were lost afterward.

i think this is intentional

It's not a bug, but it's not upgraded to such level of adjustment.
