Idlewood Bloods (IBS) - West Side Idlewood

The year was 1992.

Idlewood was different back then. The streets were packed from sunrise to sundown. Kids played basketball in cracked apartment courtyards while lowriders rolled slowly down the boulevard. Every wall told a story, every corner belonged to somebody, and respect was worth more than money.

A group of young men from the heart of Idlewood grew tired of outsiders claiming their neighborhood. They weren't rich, they weren't organized, but they had one thing in common: loyalty to their block.

The first generation called themselves the Idlewood Bloods.

Most of them were teenagers raised in the apartment complexes around Seville Boulevard and the backstreets of Idlewood. They wore red rags, red flannels, sports jerseys, and carried themselves with pride. To them, Idlewood wasn't just a neighborhood—it was home.

As the years passed, the Idlewood Bloods built a reputation throughout Los Santos. They weren't the biggest set on the map, but everyone knew who controlled the streets after dark. Rival crews constantly tested them, leading to countless fights, drive-bys, and turf disputes throughout the early and mid-90s.

The neighborhood became known for its red graffiti, packed house parties, backyard cookouts, and endless summer nights spent watching the block. New generations were brought in by older homies who taught them the code:

Respect the hood.
Respect your homies.
Never cooperate with enemies.
Never abandon the block.

By 1993, Idlewood had become one of the most recognized Blood neighborhoods in South Los Santos. Every wall carried the neighborhood's name. Every newcomer knew whose streets they were standing on.

The set survived police pressure, rival gangs, and internal conflicts that would have destroyed weaker neighborhoods. Through it all, the Idlewood Bloods remained united under one banner.

To this day, old-timers still remember the golden era of the 90s—the years when Idlewood was at its peak, lowriders lined the streets every weekend, and the red flag flew proudly throughout the neighborhood.

West Side Idlewood.

Bloods Forever.
