GTA California - General Server Rules

Welcome to GTA California — a Hard/Heavy Text Roleplay server inspired by the classic SA:MP and GTA V text-based roleplay communities. Our goal is to provide a realistic, mature, and high-quality roleplay experience for all players. Compliance with these rules is mandatory for every member of the community.

General Definitions

1) Roleplay (RP)

Roleplay is the realistic portrayal of a virtual character while respecting their personality, limitations, background, and actions as they would realistically behave in a real-life situation.

2) Metagaming (MG)

Metagaming is the use of Out of Character (OOC) information for In Character (IC) purposes, providing an unrealistic or unfair advantage to your character.

2.1) Examples of Metagaming:

- Obtaining a player's location through Discord and traveling there IC.
- Using a character's displayed name without having been introduced to them in roleplay.
- Watching a livestream to locate players in-game.

3) Powergaming (PG)

Powergaming is forcing unrealistic or impossible actions upon another player.

3.1) Examples:

* Performing superhuman actions.
* Ignoring physical limitations or injuries.
* Forcing another player to accept an action without giving them a reasonable RP response opportunity.

4) Deathmatch (DM)

Deathmatch is attacking, injuring, or killing another player without a valid roleplay reason or without proper roleplay development leading to the conflict.

Any act of violence must have a realistic and well-developed context within the roleplay scenario.

5) Revenge Deathmatch (RDM/RK)

Revenge Deathmatch is returning to seek revenge against a person after your character has been killed or experienced a major traumatic event, using information your character would realistically no longer remember.

This behavior negatively affects realism and roleplay continuity.

6) Fear Roleplay (FearRP)

Fear Roleplay represents your character's instinct for survival and fear when facing dangerous or life-threatening situations.

Players are required to react realistically when their character's life is at risk and must avoid unrealistic hero-like behavior.

7) Non-RP Driving

Non-RP Driving refers to operating a vehicle in an unrealistic or impossible manner that would not reasonably occur in real life.

8) Bunny Hop (BHOP)

Bunny Hopping is the repeated use of jumping mechanics to move faster than intended and gain an unrealistic advantage.

9) Character Kill (CK)

Character Kill is the permanent death of a character resulting from a well-developed roleplay scenario and approved according to server regulations.

Following a CK, the character may no longer be used, and their story is considered permanently concluded.

10) Player Kill (PK)

Player Kill is the temporary removal of a character from a roleplay scenario without permanently ending their existence.

After a PK, the character loses memory of the specific event and may not act upon information obtained during that situation, but may continue their normal life within the roleplay world.

11) Terrorism

Terrorism refers to organized violent actions intended to create fear, panic, or destruction among the population or a specific faction.

Such actions are strictly regulated and may only be conducted as part of an official faction storyline with prior approval from Faction Management and in full compliance with server roleplay standards.

12) Famous Names

The use of names belonging to celebrities, public figures, fictional characters, or historically well-known individuals is prohibited.

12.1) Examples:

- Michael Jackson
- Al Capone
- Tony Montana
- Bruce Wayne
- John Wick
- Cristiano Ronaldo

Players must create original and realistic character names that fit the setting and atmosphere of GTA California.
